Our story
From one mining site to an international services company.
Hashlabs began in Kazakhstan in 2021, when co-founder Alen Makhmetov left commodities trading in China to develop and operate a Bitcoin mining site in his home country. In 2023, Jaran Mellerud joined as co-founder to help expand the company internationally.
The team subsequently developed projects in Ethiopia, Finland, Norway, the United States, and Brazil. In Finland, waste heat from mining is supplied to the local district heating network. Working across different power markets, climates, cooling systems, and logistics environments gave us practical operating experience.
That experience shaped the services we provide today. Professional Bitcoin mining hosting is our primary commercial focus. We also source ASIC hardware and coordinate miner repairs for hosted customers and suitable external requirements.
