Calculations are based on current market conditions and assume today's mining revenue and electricity costs remain constant. Cryptocurrency mining is extremely volatile. Actual results can vary significantly due to changes in cryptocurrency prices, network difficulty, transaction fees, equipment performance, and other factors. Payback and ROI figures are illustrative, exclude additional expenses and hardware depreciation, and are not forecasts. Hashlabs does not guarantee mining profitability, payback, or investment returns.
How to Use the Mining Calculator
Select an ASIC miner or enter its specifications, enter your electricity price, then review current revenue, electricity cost, profit, payback, and ROI.
How Is Mining Profitability Calculated?
This calculator covers Bitcoin (BTC), Zcash (ZEC), Litecoin + Dogecoin (LTC/DOGE), Dash (DASH), Kaspa (KAS). Litecoin and Dogecoin revenue is combined because Scrypt miners can mine both at once. Revenue uses current network conditions and a miner's hashrate. Electricity cost uses power consumption and your electricity rate.
Bitcoin network data comes from Hashlabs' daily snapshot or mempool.space, with bitcoin prices from CoinGecko or mempool.space. Other network estimates come from WhatToMine. Each result shows its data timestamp above.
- Monthly gross profit
- Monthly revenue − monthly electricity cost.
- Gross margin
- Monthly gross profit ÷ monthly revenue × 100.
- Simple payback
- Hardware price ÷ monthly gross profit, in months. There is no payback when gross profit is zero or negative.
- Annualized ROI
- Monthly gross profit × 12 ÷ hardware price × 100. This is a snapshot, not a forecast.
Why Returns Change
Cryptocurrency prices, network difficulty, transaction fees, uptime, equipment performance, and other costs can change actual returns substantially.
